Author Information


Mario Pagliaro, Ph.D., is a chemistry and management scholar based in Palermo at Italy's CNR where he leads an research group which collaborates with researchers of 10 countries. Mario's research interests focus on the overlap of biology, chemistry and materials science are reflected in 8 books, some 80 research papers, several international patents and book chapters, and numerous new commercial technologies.

He is the co-founder of the Institute for Scientific Methodology and founder and director of Sicily's Photovoltaics Research Pole.

In 2008 he was invited to give the John van Geuns Lecture at the University of Amsterdam. In 2009 he was the chairman of the 10th edition of FIGIPAS Meeting in Inorganic Chemistry held in Palermo on July 2009. Currently, he is co-chairman of the Sun New Energy Conference.
